Watch the Jeff Beck online guitar lesson by Jeff McErlain from Kings of Tone

We are basically talking Marshall amps here in the video segment. I want to clarify something! There are many kinds of Marshall amps out there. If I am running what Marshall refers to as a bass circuit found in the JTM 45, Super Bass, etc, I will run the bass sometimes as low as 0 and the treble to taste. I may put the mids up high as well. On a lead circuit which is much more aggressive (Super lead, 1987X) I will do as I discussed in the video, the treble low and the bass high. Obviously this will differ from amp to amp. So experiment, that's half the fun. One of the things I love about a good Marshall is that it's hard to get a bad sound out of it!
