Next I'm using the scale built off the vi chord of the key to create different phrasing ideas against minor chords. So once again I'm thinking of Gm7 as the ii chord in the key of F, which means the vi chord (also minor) is Dm, therefore I'm playing Dm pentatonic against the Gm7 chord. If it's easier for you to think of arriving at this scale by going up a 5th from the chord root you can do that too but I must stop giving you these shortcuts!
