By playing Dm pentatonic against a Gm7 chord I'm able to grab the 9th, another melodic haunting tone not usually available in the minor pentatonic scale. I focused on this note around the root position of Dm pentatonic then moved to shape 4. You already know I'm going to tell you to experiment with all five shapes though.
