Watch the Importance of Rhythm online guitar lesson by Bruce Arnold from Guitar Physiology Survival Guide

Rhythm is a key part of good technique. Humans are naturally very rhythmic creatures. We walk and talk with a multitude of rhythmic patterns. There are many kinds of rhythmic skills and knowledge that go into playing a musical instrument. Without a good sense of rhythm your playing will be clumsy and you will not be able to play with others. Whether you are tackling a chord pattern or a melody, or dealing with the specific musical feels i.e. funk, rock, or blues, your understanding of rhythm will make or break you.

Rhythm studies are great for developing your right hand technique. I've written a whole series of books on rhythm. These books are all played using one note so you don't need to be able to read music per se you just need to be able to read rhythm.

I've also attached an explanation of rhythm in case you are a complete beginner. These books can be found in physical and digital download formats at http://www.muse-eek.com. I've also connected a URL link to each title below so if you click on the title and your computer is connected to the internet it should take you to an explanation of each book. The links are for the physical book editions.
