The F lydian and D dorian modes are applied over this IV vi loop in this lesson. Remember that both of these modes are in reality just the C major scale but you're organizing the tonal values (scale degree numbers) based on the root of the prevailing chord which you are soloing over. In other words, F lydian is a C scale from F to F, and the D dorian mode is a C scale from D to D.
