Repetition makes space for other instruments. In this Latin groove we'll play triads on the top strings that use an intricate but repeating pattern with short accents. You can get away with inserting all kinds of cool extensions by doing this. Your ear gets used to the patterns and harmony and any short exceptions can easily be handled.
Again we're using triads in close proximity and even though we're playing a very full guitar part the repeating pattern will push the arrangement in the background after a while.
