Watch the In The Sky online guitar lesson by Matthieu Brandt from Guitar Lab: Triads and Hendrixian Double Stops

We'll continue researching triads played on top of a pedal note or another triad. It is a quick and easy way to color a backup part or even create triadic melodies that can function as a hook or a solo.

In this example we're featuring a Phil Collins' type open groove with a lot of space to experiment with triads. For the first time we'll also incorporate open strings that can glue triads together.
