Watch the Permutations of Root online guitar lesson by Brad Carlton from Guitar Lab: The Golden Arp

In this lesson I will apply patterns from column three of the permutations chart to a two-one-one form of an E add 9 arpeggio in root position. I'll play in a "let ring" rhythm guitar style using the 5th string as my lowest voice. The groove will be a moderate straight eighth groove. This is a great way to explore options for flowing constant arpeggios which drive the tune quite effectively. You'll also become aware of the voices that are left ringing based on the layout and permutation you choose to play.
