Watch the One - One - Two Forms online guitar lesson by Brad Carlton from Guitar Lab: The Golden Arp
The one-one-two form of the add 9 arpeggio in root position is simply an inversion of the two-one-one 3rd inversion forms presented in lesson 4. Begin by touching the 1, 2 and 3 on three adjacent strings, then add the 5th three frets above the 3rd. Dampening can be a challenge with this form so keep your ears open. I will demonstrate harmonic finger rolls vs. melodic finger rolls in this lesson. Sometimes it is better to avoid finger rolls and I will discuss this. You'll learn some great rhythm guitar ideas as well as some easy shred licks involving sweep picking, hammer-ons and pull-offs.
