Watch the 1 Notes-Per-String Forms online guitar lesson by Brad Carlton from Guitar Lab: The Golden Arp

Now we enter the realm on one note-per-string forms of the Add 9 arpeggio. By the nature of this layout, they lend themselves to sweep picking and obviously chords. There are only three layouts of these for each inversion.

Ex 22 shows tab and diagram for this root position Add 9 arpeggio. I have color coded the diagram for the three forms so that you may see them clearly. Study the video to capture the fingerings and watch your intonation. These chords are absolutely beautiful in texture so listen not from a guitarist's standpoint but from a keyboardist's point of view.

Also try sweep picking, finger picking and hybrid picking as options other than alternate picking when playing these arpeggios.
