Watch the Minor Pentatonic Shapes online guitar lesson by Robbie Calvo from Guitar Interactives

PRINCIPLE 21 - MINOR PENTATONIC SHAPES

Most of you will already know that the G major Pentatonic Scale is enharmonic to the E Minor Pentatonic scale. This means both scales contain the same 5 notes. Be careful not to assume that the resolution points withing the shapes are the same though!! You’ll need to resolve to different places within the shapes depending on whether you are soloing over Major Or Minor...just sayin’!

Lets review the shapes as Minor and talk resolution points too.
