Watch the Rock Style Comping online guitar lesson by Robbie Calvo from Guitar Interactives

This clean rhythm guitar part ala Pink Floyds ‘Another Brick In The Wall’ defines the Cmi7 chord and Aeolian tonality of the track.

Here’s an overdriven guitar part that incorporates power chords as accents to the chord changes. I’m listening closely to the organ part to make sure I let that breathe.

Neither of these guitar parts are complex but playing them tightly with the rhythm section may prove harder than you think.

I’ve purposely left the clean guitar part off the tracks so that you can play it solo with the groove or with the power chord part.

Demo another part using straight eighths palm muted power chords.
