PRINCIPLE 20 - MAJOR PENTATONIC SHAPES
The 5 note Major Pentatonic scales have 5 patterns that we can learn across the fretboard. Learning all 5 shapes will allow you to move freely between patterns and create longer flowing ideas that are horizontal rather than one pattern vertical ideas.
Play through each of the 5 shapes over the G bass & drum track to keep steady time. You can also jam each shape over the cool G ma7 - G 6/9 track provided.
I’ve also added a track for each of the diatonic major chords in G major so that you can transpose your patterns to fit those chords too. Once you have G down, transpose the shapes to play over the C ma7 / C6/9 tracks etc.
