Watch the Right On Time online guitar lesson by Brad Carlton from Groove Builder
Now we'll layer rhythm guitar parts over these tracks. Let's start with "Right on Time". I have chosen an open sounding Esus2 voicing played in an arpeggiated fashion. By using acoustic guitar, I've left space in the sonic spectrum for electric guitar soloing. I'll also use inversions of the Esus2 for multiple parts. For section B I'll show you how to build hip voicings for the G and Dm chords. Both for the acoustic guitar and also as "string pads" for the electric guitar.
