Watch the Wayfaring Stranger online guitar lesson by Joe Dalton from Fretboard Epiphanies

The introduction uses mainly the Em9 chord. The fills are played in harmonics. First we have the Em triad then the D Major triad. The D over the E bass gives us an Em11. The verse of the song is somewhat simple. The melody is easily accessible. The Am9 chord in measure 10 is new but not difficult. This is the same chord we have played in other keys. This is why it is good to try all of these ideas in other keys.

The Cmaj7 chord in measure 25 is a stretch. Spend some time getting this one just right. The rest of the arrangement is repetition. Enjoy.
