Watch the C7 Bb7 online guitar lesson by Brad Carlton from CAGED Dominant
Now we will again run through the five chord forms, this time using a C7 to Bb7 progression. For the first example, Brad uses the first position C7 for the I and an A7 form for the Bb7. This inherently jazzy progression – think vintage Vince Guaraldi when one of the Peanuts gang is going through a walk cycle – lends itself to the use of 6th and 9th arpeggios. Brad also discusses the 2/9 relationship and other useful scale/arpeggio relationships.
