For the top three strings in this example (G, B, and high E) keep the middle finger firmly planted on the 13th fret/B string while the index shuttles between the 12th fret/G and high E strings. For everything you play always look for economical ways to connect sections of music. Like the other double stop examples in this course, begin with the lowest root and 3rd degrees in the pattern, which happen to be located on the two center strings (D and G) here in the 'D form' major scale.
