Watch the G Form: Solo Example online guitar lesson by Dave Celentano from CAGED Commander

The 'G form' solo example enters on the 'and' of 'beat 2' and ascends, then volleys back and forth between the high E and B strings. Try using 'hybrid picking' for alternating between two notes on adjacent strings (bars 1 and 2) - down stroke with the pick on lower note of the pair, then middle finger plucks the higher of the two. The trills in bar 4 are produced by rapidly alternating between the 5th and 7th frets on the G, D, and A strings - pick only the first note and use hammer-ons and pull-offs for the trilling technique. Rhythm repetition is used foir the two double stop phrases in bar 6 and syncopation in bars 8 and 9.
