This example uses the same fingerings as the previous and is played with a triplet rhythm sequence ascending and descending the finger board. The slides are handled by the middle finger on the 'D string'. Try to see the individual CAGED scale patterns while playing through this exercise. Notice the example begins and ends on the 3rd degree of the major scale, which is also a chord tone of the tonic chord 'C major'.
