Watch the Shuffle Rhythm online guitar lesson by Annie Raines from Blues Harmonica Blueprint
This is a rhythm part I learned when I was playing in the Cambridge Harmonica Orchestra, which was under the musical direction of Pierre Beauregard. We played a lot of parades and festivals. There were usually 30-50 harp players at each gig, with a majority of us providing chord rhythms in marathon versions of high-energy R&B songs. I credit the CHO with building up my lung capacity and breath control in a hurry - the only alternative was fainting!
