Watch the C Major 7th (3rd Inv.) online guitar lesson by Bruce Arnold from 50 Sweep Picking Guitar Licks You Must Know
Now that we have finished the 13 sweeps with the 5th on the low string it's time to look at playing sweeps in 3rd inversion. 3rd inversion would be playing each sweep with the 7th of each chord on the low E string. These 3rd inversion sweeps will give us yet another way of playing for any chord type, and so will greatly increase the amount of sweeps that we have available for each chord type. With the 3rd inversion sweeps we will begin to look at superimposing sweeps over different chords. I've included a PDF with each sweep showing the possible chords that you can use. For the C major 7 sweep we will look at superimposing it over an A7 chord.
