Be sure the edges of your fingernail are sanded very smooth to get the best sound. Refer to #4 for shaping and sanding the nails. Be patient with your hand if it's doing something it's never done before. Listen to the tone, watch the motion of the finger and wait until it falls back to place completely relaxed before playing the next note.

Very, very slow practice pays off here. It allows you to play fast much more easily once the fingers get used to relaxing between strokes.
