Watch the D Mixolydian 1 online guitar lesson by Robbie Calvo from 50 Modal Licks You MUST Know

We are resolving now to the V chord in the key of G, the D or D7 chord.

This lick reminds me of Bryan Adams sound back in the 80's. Keith Scott is one of my favorite guitarists on the planet. He plays only whats needed and nothing more, taste, tone and restraint I like!

As you can see and hear, there is nothing too technical about this lick. I sang this idea first and then found it on the guitar. The hardest thing to achieve with these simple phrases is to keep the glissando's nice and smooth and the bends in tune. Of course make the notes musical too by choosing a good amp setting or guitar sound that works with the backing track, tap tempo your delay and go for it!
