You've probably noticed by now that I employ a lot of arpeggio's in my playing, either triads or sevenths. In the opening line of this lick I'm sliding in to a D Minor triad arpeggio, which solidifies the minor tonalities of the backing track. I then play a sustained double stop 6th, before moving on to a soulful and passionate bend.

A simple idea that screams musicality. I typically sing these lines before I find them on the guitar. Try that for yourself, it's a very powerful way of crafting solo's and breaking the muscle memory ideas we often fall into.
