We're getting funky now! We're in open Dm tuning, but what I really like about this is that if you go down to the sixth string, and stay within a span of three frets (frets 3, 4 & 5), you are actually accessing a major key. You can get the root, 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th as harmonics on that low string between those three frets. Rhythmically we're using a second line kind of groove, and we build up into a dramatic change into the minor chord at the twelfth fret on all six strings. We're back into the ghost tones here as well, so we're hearing the sound from the slide to the nut. We'll tie things up with fingerpicked groove that provides a nice rhythmic and tonal contrast to our previous major key part.
