Watch the Slow Jimi - Rhythm online guitar lesson by Jeff Scheetz from Rock Solid

I used a clean sound for this as we want the chord tones to be clear and not have things smearing our tonality. I am playing chord inversions and different voicings to get sounds from a regular chord that are not regular!
When you "invert" a chord, you are taking the bass note from the bottom and putting it on top. When we are talking about different chord voicings, we are really just talking about the order of the notes within the chord - in other words, the 5 could be the lowest note you play, or it could be the highest. So how you order the notes drastically changes the way it interacts with the other chords.
