Watch the Bowers: Rhythm 1 online guitar lesson by Trey Alexander from Quantum Rock
In this final track there are some real funky bass lines happening. So what I start out doing is showing you how playing some staccato hits can really let the bassist's part shine. You really want the other musicians to float over their parts, keeping something nice and simple for them to jam over. After that I go into some pretty picking parts, which gives a nice gradual build allowing the drummer to build the piece up for the solo section you will learn in the next couple of segments. After that we add a little bit of a contrasting bass line. You will notice that this gives the piece an almost duet feel, where one line is playing the turn around and the guitar is answering back with a small ascending line. This song will be on the new album.
