1st section of Soloing Study #6 explained. A good way to think of F# Phrygian is to think of it as an F# minor scale with b2. Remember, Aeolian and minor are the same scale. The term minor tends to be used when context of conversation relates to either major or minor scales. Aeolian is more likely used if the conversation refers specifically to modes. Having said that, I think it's much more important that you know how to use it. What it's actually called is far less important.
