This excerpt represents the second 12 bars of the 24-bar blues form, starting on the IV (four) chord, D. I begin with a short phrase based on A major pentatonic (A B C# E F), which works very well over D with the presence of two of the triadic chord tones of D major, F# and A. I then move back into phrases based on A minor pentatonic, and end the solo with a repeated fast pull-off riff; be sure to dig in and use a sharp attack to attain some of the Page-style attitude.
