Watch the Math Rock Shuffle Two online guitar lesson by Angus Clark from Hard Rock Survival Guide: Rhythm
This example uses the same shuffle section from the last example, but then the meter changes in a whole different way. Once we get to the triplet figure the eighth note triplet pulse becomes the straight eighth note pulse for a 4/4 section. We're back to a downstroke workout during the 4/4 section and then we loop back to the shuffle section that we started with. Remember: the pulse remains the same, we are not changing the tempo, just changing how the beats are grouped into the time signature.
