Watch the The V-IV-I online guitar lesson by Ravi from Guitar Lab: 30 Rock & Pop Progressions
A great classic rock progression and hugely common in pop and rock, the V-IV-I is a must know for all guitar players. Some may refer to this as a I-bVII-IV because the progression feels grounded on the first chord. However, I like to stay within the framework that any two major chords a whole step apart has to be the IV and V of the key. Vary your tempos and hardness of your strumming to achieve more of a signature sound for a song.
