This lesson shows the principle of no duplication by utilizing a different minor pentatonic scale form. The scale used is the six string rooted C minor pentatonic in the eighth position. This allows exact same patterns to be used in terms of the low and high sides of the scale thus enabling you to play all of the previous examples in the eighth position which will give you a thicker sound and will also serve you when you transpose these licks to other keys.
