Watch the Rhythmic Figure #13 online guitar lesson by Brad Carlton from Guitar Lab: Diamond Rock Rhythm
This lesson presents a straight eighth figure involving a C5 on the first beat. You will then play a double stop from the low side of the C minor pentatonic scale on the third and second strings with an upstroke on the ‘and’ of the first beat. The remaining upstroke in this example occurs on the ‘and’ of the second beat and forms a C5. Throughout the video you will receive suggestions on how to dampen with your fretting hand thus preventing unwanted string noise.
