This lesson presents a straight eighth palm muted figure which doubles the bassline. This creates a foundation over which we will build many variations. The critical component here is the palm mute which fattens and helps control this low pitched note. In the video I demonstrate the difference between playing this note with and without palm muting. This allows you to clearly hear how important it is for you to be able to control the shading of your palm muting.
