This example modifies ex 9 by pedaling the root for voice #3. The chords are A. D/A, A7(no3rd), D/A; all coming from A mixolydian. Since there are five voices being played, apply arpeggio patterns and fragments of these chords to this boogie-woogie figure. This will give you some relief from the "wall of sound" created when playing all five voices simultaneously.
