Watch the Down and Dirty: 8 online guitar lesson by Chris Buono from Guitar Cubed
There’s been some talk of neck mangling for vibrato purposes throughout Guitar Cubed. In Guitar 3 there’s some of the widest vibrato thus far, but ironically it’s not a result of thrashing the neck up and down. On the contrary, it’s all in the 3rd finger as it frantically moves the string up and down for a Zakk Wylde-like pitch mod fest (told you Down and Dirty rocked the blues!).
Some other ditties to watch for that Guitar Cubed has been throwing at you is chromatic passing tones, fret hand 1st finger aid in bending and you guessed it--motivic development.
For a closer investigation into what’s happening including how the double stop bend manages to creep into yet another solo without getting old, move onto the breakdown segment.
