Watch the Rocking Chair: 8 online guitar lesson by Chris Buono from Guitar Cubed

OK people, start your engines 'cause we’re gonna burn a bit. Guitar 3 rips through some very cool ideas including rhythmic sequences that feature sextuplets and the combining of 1/8-note trips and 16ths. You've got instances where Guitar 3 matches up with Guitars 1 & 2 an octave above, but laced with more gusto in the form of deliberate downstroke attacks and 1/4-step inflections. And, as warned, there will be a double stop bend to deal with. There’s even a Dimebag Darrell-esque 32nd note run in bar 11!

What gives this part even more character is the exaggerated bending heard throughout. For example, in bar 5 the bvii (Gm) change is treated with a solid whole step bend from C-D at beat 2 that dedicates the rest of the measure to descending that pitch back down to C only to pummel a matching Guitar 2 hammer-on on the 4th string. And, that’s not all so go over to the next segment where we will break it all down.
