Watch the Diminished Triads & Inversions online guitar lesson by Dave Celentano from Classical Concepts for Rock Guitar

Given the inherent nature of unsettling diminished chords one would be hard pressed to come up with a rhythm part comprised soley of these disturbing chords. That said, the backing track progression for rehearsing diminished triads will include major and minor as well as diminished chords and goes like this: Dm - C - Bb - A - C#dim. Start out playing root position triads for each chord, then graduate to combining inversions as demonstrated in the video. Experiment with other inversions of these chords too by challenging yourself to find all the inversions for these chords on the guitar fretboard.
