Watch the Syncopated Shuffle 1 online guitar lesson by Will Sophie from 50 Southern Rock Licks You MUST Know

This syncopated shuffle is based on one of the Atlanta Rhythm Section songs of the 1970's. Songs like 'Champagne Jam' or 'Angel' can be recognized in our next shuffle groove. The use of syncopation is always interesting to listen to. It can send you in the wrong direction if you don't pay attention. Once you get used to this way of playing it will become natural. If played exactly on the right spot, it will give the song some space in between each beat. This works nicely when you want to fit other instruments into your recording or band arrangement. Have fun with lick 33.
