Watch the Rapid Fire online guitar lesson by Tony Smotherman from 50 Power Pentatonic Licks You MUST Know
This example uses 5 notes per string concept to get a rapid fire ascending pattern and using the tapped notes to reach the flat 5. The main part of this lick is done on the high B and E string great for cycling since both strings contain the same shape. Note there's no tapping on the second string, this keeps the lick easy to cycle over and over. Always throwing in a tasty lick at the end brings you back home. This idea is in B minor pentatonic.
