Watch the Motivic Development online guitar lesson by Robben Ford from Blues Motif Revolution
Let's look at developing motifs for a new kind of track—a minor blues in C minor. In this track the bass notes are dampened and the drums are relaxed, giving us some more room to play around. We'll look at adding in some movement, but be careful—don't make things to complicated! Keeping your chord voicings simple and react to the complexity of the other instruments is the key to building strong motifs.
