There's a quality to music played in a minor key, and certainly in a minor blues, that's a slightly different harmonic feeling and sound, and there's a tendency to play more of the melodic minor scale than the straight up diminished scale.

It has a darker sound, and although I've always enjoyed that the diminished scale can have a bright and dark sound at the same time, the melodic minor scale can be very effective. Let's look at how we can incorporate this unique scale into a minor blues solo.
