Watch the G Shuffle: 5th Chorus online guitar lesson by Robben Ford from Riff Revolution
Now we'll finish up our five choruses of blues, and I hope you can see how it grows, and that there's an evolution to it: it's not just a series of licks, a series of phrases, or individual statements. These phrases are like talking - there's a relationship to the whole conversation. You're not just playing something you've learned alone. You're playing it in relationship to the next thing or the things that preceded. There's some kind of reflection happening. You've played that, now you're going to play this. You played fast, now you're going to slow. You played high, now you're going to play low. It's important to have this kind of sense about how you construct a solo. Hopefully you've seen that in these five choruses of shuffle blues.
