Watch the G Shuffle: 3rd Chorus online guitar lesson by Robben Ford from Riff Revolution
In this section, there's a part where we're literally just walking right down the pentatonic scale. This is another example to me of how the simplest of things can be great and musical. If you don't hear it, then it's not going to be musical!
For me, it's an investment: I'm 100% committed to it, trying to play it as impeccably as I can, as clearly as I can, where it's right in the pocket and right on time. Therefore, something comes through - the more you invest in whatever it is you do emotionally, the more something is being said. You're always saying something - whether it's "I don't know how to do this", "I'm okay with this", or "I'm really doing this". The major scale, the pentatonic scale - just really invest yourself in it when you play it.
