Watch the The I II IV I Progression online guitar lesson by Adam Levy from Rhythm Makeover: Adam Levy

Example 14 is a I-II-V-I progression in the key of A major. The major II chord gives the sequence a sort of lift going to the IV. The Beatles’ “Eight Days a Week” is one well-known example of this progression. The Beatles also used I-II-V-I progressions in “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” and “You Won’t See Me.”
