Watch the Open Says Me online guitar lesson by Corey Congilio from Rhythm Factory: Texas Blues

I use open strings whenever I can. This example in E is a raucous rhythm that will work in other keys. You won't have the benefit of open strings once you transpose but, the vibe of playing all of the strings will be there. Notice the trend in a lot of these Texas blues rhythms is that we have chord playing with riffs attached to them. Many of our favorite players played in trios so, this call and response rhythm playing works well to fill in the holes and create excitement. Play this with passion and you'll get the full effect for sure.
