Watch the Luke's Lick online guitar lesson by TrueFire from Play Rock Guitar 9: Advanced Lick Vocabulary

Luke's Lick - Lick 38 is a video guitar lesson presented by James Hogan and is sourced from 50 All-Purpose Pentatonic Licks.

Steve Lukather is one of the greatest guitarists in the world. He's played on 1000's of sessions, produced and written several hit records and won virtually every music award imaginable. Steve broke onto the scene in the late 1970's with Boz Scaggs but later gained fame and fortune from his work with his band Toto. Lick #38 "Luke's Lick" is a signature Lukather lick pulled from his famed guitar solo on the Toto song "Rosanna." This lick combines a couple of positions of A major pentatonic and features a bit of chromaticism as well. Learn it!
