We start with the chords adding substitution for the Bb7 chord. Two beats Fm7 and two beats Bb7. And then again for the F7 we add the sharp 5. We go over a few ii7-V7 chord patterns. Rhythmic patterns are also discussed and examples given. The solo is based on playing 6ths. We move up chromatically to start the the solo moving to an Eb9 chord. Then we answer the question by using the 6th moving up chromatically playing the off beats then back to the blues riff to end the phrase. On the E diminished we play a chordal idea using the diminished chord and ending with a Charlie Christian style blues lick. He loved to use the 6th. For the F7 chord we use a sharp 5th in the lick and end the solo with a cool double stop lick.
