Watch the Happy Days online guitar lesson by Angus Clark from Play in the Style of David Gilmour
It's hard for me to think that I can shed any new light on what the Gilmour dotted-eighth delay thing is all about, but if you've never seen how it's done, this is one way to do it. If you can get in the groove with your delay then just have fun with it. By making this the foundation of a couple of amazingly classic songs, Gilmour really made his mark as the master of this technique. Only The Edge from U2 is perhaps as well known for using this type of thing as the hallmark of their rhythmic style.
