To overview this one for you, I did a whole bunch of cool stuff in this little piece. To get started, I rolled off in an A pentatonic format. I did a little bit of a steel guitar thing like you learned in section 1. Then when I got to the D section, I did the D open scale, but instead it was a fast track so I didn't play it exactly how you learned but I did use an open ended D high-low pattern. Then I moved back into A, where I used trilly section where I'm actually just playing off the second fret. After that, I did the open E thing that you learned. Then I rolled into a double stop run where it's open-ended too. All I'm doing is rolling from the second fret to the fourth fret on the D string, hitting the G and B open. From there, once I hit the E note, I slid all the way down to the 14th fret and did a double-stop. I can't recall exactly how I played it since sometimes you play things on the fly. Essentially, you take that actual double stop run I showed you in section 1 and you have a little fun bending it. What I taught you was how to do with in the inverted lower A on the 16th fret but what you're going to do is have fun bending the double stop scale from the 14th fret just within the G and B. From there, I walked into the D section by doing a lot of the bends I taught you in the bending section. Then in A, the next run I do is based off of a blues scale, mixed with some pentatonic attitude. The way I describe that is I'm playing from a pentatonic base but I'm also playing from the blues perspective. I'm rolling back into what I had just played. Then in the E section, I was just bending and getting back into fourth from that. Then, getting out was just a way for me to get back. It's more of a chromaticized run-down. That's essentially what I did but I want to keep everything emphasized from a high-low-low-high pattern. The way that I laid this out was spur-of-the moment to where the track and lead felt good, so I'm just shutting off the cuff of what I remember- that's exactly how I'm approaching the solo. Some of the notes will be different but you will have a tab available to see exactly what I did. That'll give you an overview just to show you that there was some cool stuff from section 1 that I applied in this. I certainly hope you enjoyed it.
